Niki Lauda back in intensive care after setback!

Mercedes non-executive chairman Niki Lauda has been checked into the intensive care at the hospital again after suffering a setback in his recovery, as the three-time F1 champion has reportedly contracted a flu-virus.

Lauda is still recovering from a collapse he had last summer, when he had to be transported from his home in Ibiza to Vienna for a lung transplant, something which was deemed necessary for him to survive. The Austrian, who turns 70 next month, was able to return to his home after several months of being bed-ridden in that same hospital to continue his recovery in the comfort of his own home.

Now, though, he's hit a roadblock in his recovery; while celebrating Christmas with his family, he picked up the flu, which seems harmless, but is actually very dangerous with Lauda's very fragile immune system.

Krone report that Lauda has been checked into the AKH hospital in Vienna earlier this week.
