Upgraded Honda engine to make return in Brazil

Toro Rosso will return to the upgraded spec of Honda engine for the Brazilian Grand Prix as the altitude at Interlagos is not as challenging as it was last time out in Mexico.

Pierre Gasly finished tenth at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez with the old engine and the team will be hoping to pick up a few more points with the new one.

The team are just three points behind Sauber with only two races left to run this season, and with every place in the Constructors’ Championship counting for more prize money, the team will be desperate to pick up the points needed to take eighth place.

Sao Paulo’s legendary circuit is the second highest above sea level on the calendar but Toro Rosso believe it is right to use the new spec engines in Brazil once again.

Toro Rosso are one of the few teams who have not confirmed their driver line-up for next year, with Daniil Kvyat their only driver signed on.
