Ocon is "losing hope by the day"

Ocon admits his disappointment in regards to the situation and his hope is going.

The Frenchman looked dead certain to move to Renault before Daniel Ricciardo shocked the F1 world by switching to the French manufacturer.

Lance Stroll is expected to make the switch to Force India, leaving Ocon without a team for next season, following his father's recent takeover with his consortium.

"I am not frustrated, I am really disappointed. That is more the word," Ocon admitted. "There are still hopes, yes, but less and less, as you know. That's a bit why I'm disappointed at the moment, to see that it's not only the results that come in play, it has to be other things."

Ocon made it clear that he won't be holding any grudges through this difficult time, perhaps referring to Renault.

"I am not upset against anyone or anything. But I have worked really hard to get here, I keep working really hard to perform these last two years.

"This year I have progressed compared to last year and it is 11-3 in qualifying against Sergio (Perez). I am fighting hard to do the best I can every race and arriving here, not knowing what I will do next year is hard to swallow, obviously."
