Red Bull Racing are dominating the 2023 season so far. The RB19 has won all races so far, including the sprint, and especially in the hands of Max Verstappen in recent races, the RB19 has been ultra-dominant. Martin Brundle believes Red Bull's chief designer Adrian Newey is worth more than the highest-paid driver as a result of their superiority.
Red Bull's advantage is huge, especially during Sunday's races. That dominance is well shown in the statistic below. The Austrian formation won all races by more than 20 seconds ahead of the competition, except in Australia, but that race finished under the safety car. It was no different in Spain, as the gap to the competition was just over 24 seconds at the end of the race.
Brundle praises Newey
According to Brundle, commentator at English Sky Sports, this dominance is largely due to top designer Newey. Indeed, the Brit said the following during the Spanish Grand Prix: "Christian Horner is going to hate me for saying this, but whatever the best-paid driver is worth, Adrian Newey is worth even more."
