It has emerged that some parts used in the wind tunnel (the scale models) were inaccurate and did not meet the required parameters. The mistakes made would have led to redundancies.
Mercedes' changes
Because of the dissatisfaction with the wind tunnel figures, Mercedes has stepped up development considerably in recent weeks. Besides sidepods, aerodynamic and cooling changes are also coming to the bolide.
Due to the budget ceiling, there is no room to introduce a completely new chassis with a different concept this year.
