Force India open to "attractive price"

Vijay Mallya has stated his Force India team are not for sale, but he would be happy to consider an "attractive price". During pre-season, a complete rebranding was on the cards but it never happened.

British company Rich Energy have been linked to the Formula 1 team in recent weeks. Mallya currently owns a 42.5 per cent stake in Force India and confirms he will only sell if there is a good offer.

"If somebody comes along and wants to pay an attractive price for anything, you have to put your commercial hat on, and think about it commercially, not emotionally," Mallya said in an interview on planet F1.

"And that's precisely where I am. I cannot comment on the status of offers or discussions. But there is no agreed offer on the table backed by cash."

The pink panthers are currently sitting in 6th. They've managed to hold onto 4th place in the previous two seasons, but that challenge seems to be much harder this season.
