Nico Rosberg adamant he doesn't want to make F1 comeback

Nico Rosberg has confirmed he still doesn't want to make a return to F1. The 2016 World Champion retired from the sport almost immediately after winning the title in Abu Dhabi. The 32-year-old, turning 33 next month, drove on track with father Keke yesterday in Monaco.

After returning to the cockpit, you might have thought he would have found the joys and excitement of racing return. But nope. A return for the German is still looking unlikely after yesterday's demonstration run.

He drove his 2016 title winning car whilst his father drove his championship winning car. The pairing did 2 laps around Monaco, straight after the completion of FP1.

"When I got into the cockpit it was like coming home. But it went right away. I'm so happy," Rosberg claimed in an interview with Corriere della Sera.

The German then went on to add how he's enjoying watching the 2018 season play out as a fan rather than racing himself.

"It's a spectacular fight between three teams," said Rosberg. "No one has any idea who will win on Sunday, which is the perfect scenario."

"I did not expect them [Ferrari] to be so good this season. At the moment it's the best car," he said.
