Alpine seems to be looking for a new driver for next season now that Oscar Piastri has said he will not race for the French team in 2023. One of the candidates is Mick Schumacher and the rumours are getting louder now that the young German has been following Laurent Rossi on Instagram since this week.
Rossi is the CEO of Alpine and is, therefore (partly) responsible for finding a successor to Fernando Alonso. One of the 168 people who follow Schumacher on Instagram is, as of this week, Rossi. Remarkable to say the least.
Schumacher is still under contract at Haas F1 until the end of the season, but his relationship with team boss Guenther Steiner does not seem great. The two men clashed earlier in the season after the German's performance fell short of expectations. There was dissatisfaction on both sides so it would not be surprising if the cooperation does not continue.
