Logan Sargeant was unable to finish his home Grand Prix in Miami, after a crash with Kevin Magnussen. The American was still mostly positive after the weekend has concluded, and commented on the incident that caused him to retire.

After GPblog's exclusive on Williams trying to obtain a super license for Kimi Antonelli before the young talent turns 18, the American finished another race with the 'DNF' tag next to his name. However, this time, it was out of his control.

"This particular case, I haven't seen it back so there's nothing for me to say about it. But more so just a disappointing way to end the weekend. Yes, obviously I saw him on my outside into one. Saw him try to cut back into two. Went through two. Thought he would filter back in and of course, we hit," the driver born in Florida commented on the incident in the paddock.

Sargeant looks at the positives

With the threat of losing his seat in Formula One, the American still remained positive about the rest of the weekend in Miami. "Nonetheless, it's been a positive weekend and I have to take those positives. I feel like I've generally been able to get almost everything out of it this weekend. Little bits to find, but just have to take those, draw a line under it, and move on," he told F1TV.

"I think a huge positive was, well, one, the sprint race. Two, being qualifying yesterday, only being a tenth from Q2, and, well, less than three hundredths from Q2. Those are all positives moving forward, so just need to try and find that a little bit more, and things will start looking good," Sargeant added.
