Change to the starting grid ahead of the Miami sprint race

Change to the starting grid ahead of the Miami sprint race

4 May - 15:37

The sprint shootout didn't go overly well for Alexander Albon and Logan Sargeant. Both Williams drivers did not get beyond SQ1 and will not have an ideal starting position during the sprint race. Albon, especially not, as his car has been tinkered with, which means he will start from the pits.

Change in starting grid for Miami sprint race

Albon will have to start the sprint race from the pit lane. The Thai-British driver's car has been modified, so he will not be allowed to start from the 19th starting position but will have to do so from the pit lane. Teammate Sargeant will start from P18, as Stake F1 driver Valtteri Bottas received a grid penalty earlier.

Max Verstappen starts on P1 during Saturday's sprint race in Miami. Teammate Sergio Perez finds himself on the second row of the grid, as he starts from P3. Between the two Red Bull drivers is Charles Leclerc. Daniel Ricciardo completes the second row of the grid. The good-humoured Australian managed to post the fourth time in SQ3 of the sprint qualifying.
