Taylor Swift set for awkward meet with Alonso? Singer to attend Miami GP

Taylor Swift and her partner Travis Kelce are both set to attend the 2024 Miami Grand Prix this weekend. The celebrity couple will likely be in the paddock just days after the singer released a song potentially relating to a relationship with Fernando Alonso. 

Last year, there were rumours that Alonso and Taylor Swift were dating. On 19 April 2024, Taylor Swift released her new album 'The Tortured Poets Department'. That album features a song called 'imgonnagetyouback'. In that song, Swift sings about an Aston Martin driving into the ditch. Potentially a reference to Alonso, whom she was long linked to?

Swift to attend the 2024 Miami Grand Prix

Swift is currently dating NFL star Travis Kelce. Swift and Kelce have been a couple since September 2023, and Swift's appearances at his games were noticeable. Swift can regularly be seen dancing in the stands during one of his games. A lot of attention also went to her presence during the Super Bowl. Kelce's team, the Kansas City Chiefs, managed to win that Super Bowl.

In October 2023, Alpine launched an investment group with a myriad of celebrities involved. This includes NFL stars Patrick Mahomes and Kelce. According to America's Express Tribune, Swift will attend the Miami Grand Prix with her partner Kelce and good friend Mahomes. This could mean an awkward exchange in the paddock, as Alonso will be racing on behalf of Aston Martin. Alonso left Alpine after the 2022 season.

Swift is currently in the middle of her worldwide tour, Eras. The singer last performed in early March and will not return to the stage until May 9 in France. This will start the European leg of the tour.
