Audi, Mercedes or still Red Bull for Sainz? 'Winning is my priority'
With Lewis Hamilton moving to Ferrari in 2025, Carlos Sainz must look for a new seat. With his performances in recent races, he is well on his way and keeping all doors open.
Sainz keeps doors open
With his recent performances, the Spaniard is busy putting himself on the radar as much as possible, but according to the driver, there are no updates on his future seat yet. "It will take some time for everyone to make their own decisions," Sainz says. "It's not like it affects my performance this year, but sooner rather than later."
Sainz has not yet decided if he is also open to a seat with a car that is currently underperforming (Audi/Sauber). "Given the right car and the right gear, I can win races and be on the podium like I’m proving this year. That's my number one priority as a driver to win. That’s something that I always will look for, but there's some other very interesting medium-term and long-term options out there that I will consider and that I’m considering so yeah, every option for sure has its plus or minuses." Whether Sainz's future lies with Mercedes, Audi or a completely different team is completely open for now.
