Alpine's team boss Bruno Famin still has a lot of confidence in his team despite the poor results. The Frenchman has denied the team are for sale and blames the former management for the problems currently being experienced. Alpine find themselves without points in 2024 and at the bottom of the championship.

The Alpine team have been driving at the back of the field all season so far. As a result, the team are now still at 0 points in the championship. Rumours surfaced that Alpine's F1 team had been put up for sale by its parent company, Renault. Speaking to Formula1.com, Famin denied this. "We have the full support of the top management. The team is absolutely not for sale."

Famin still sees things positively

The French team boss explains that it is not a fun period for the team and that it is not where it wants to be. He points the finger at the former management. "The car we have now is the result of previous management." Still, Famin sees things working out for his team. For this, he refers to a period in the past. "In the history our team, at the start of the project in the 1970s, everyone was laughing at us – and we were strong in those moments."

The French team has high ambitions, says Famin. "We want to be ahead, we want to develop the performance of the car – and we want to fight for podiums and for victories as soon as possible. We are in a down – but we will use the opportunity to be stronger very soon and for sure make the necessary changes within the team to reach our goals.”
