Conversation between Horner and independent lawyer concluded after eight hours
Friday has been a long day for Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner. On this day he was questioned for the first time by an independent investigator. The interview lasted no less than eight hours.
The entire Formula 1 world is eagerly awaiting the results of Red Bull's independent internal investigation into Horner. The team boss is under a magnifying glass because of alleged transgressive behaviour he is alleged to have displayed. It allegedly involved "extreme authoritarian behaviour" towards a female Red Bull Racing employee. Horner flatly denies all allegations.
Horner still has a long way to go
As part of the internal investigation, Horner had to be heard by an independent barrister. Friday's interview lasted no less than eight hours, reports Sky Sports. No conclusions have yet been drawn from the conversation. The interview therefore appears to be the first step in what could well become a long process.
Reporter Craig Slater understands that it will be quite a process and that the investigation is separate from the F1 calendar. So the investigation could well continue during the test days, or even during the first race weekend in Bahrain.
