Currently, the papaya-coloured team have dominated this season, taking nine wins from 12 races so far as Oscar Piastri leads the drivers' championship with 234 points, eight points ahead of teammate Lando Norris.

Max Verstappen comes next with 165 points, with his troublesome RB21 not allowing him to fight at the front after winning four titles in a row, despite Helmut Marko stating the championship is still up for grabs. 

However, in the constructors' championship, the British team are racing away on 460, 238 points clear of Ferrari in second place, while Red Bull sits down in P4 with 172 points.

The Austria team brought upgrades to the British Grand Prix to try and reignite Verstappen's title challenge, but it resulted in the Dutchman admitting much more is needed. Now, McLaren and Stella are looking to continue with their imperious form.

"The result we saw in Canada... Once you let your guard down, you don't win anymore," Stella explained during McLaren's event at Trafalgar Square in London before the British Grand Prix.

The Canadian Grand Prix was the first weekend where McLaren missed out on the podium in 2025, rectifying that with another one-two finish after Norris won the British Grand Prix ahead of Piastri.

"Victories aren't guaranteed. You have to earn them," continued Stella. "You have to earn them by preparing well, and you have to earn them by executing well. The strategy is to keep doing what we're doing now. Not just looking to achieve the same results, but also with the same determination to maximise the potential that exists.
