From the French Grand Prix onwards the FIA will be introducing new tests to really eradicate the moving rear wing. This news came after there was a lot of fuss about Red Bull Racing's rear wing, and if you look at the images you can see why.

Parts on a Formula 1 car are not allowed to move, or barely move. There is a small margin, but no aerodynamic benefit can be gained from it. For example, it would be handy if your rear wing and front wing are positioned in such a way that you have less drag on the straight. That will give you extra speed.

Looking at the images, the rear wing of the Red Bull is clearly moving backwards. Lewis Hamilton said this after the Grand Prix weekend in Spain. Christian Horner said that the FIA had no problem with this but a day later the FIA presented new tests.

With these new tests, the FIA should be able to better test if parts move during driving. If you look at these images it is rather strange that Red Bull passed the current tests. A rear wing is not allowed to bend backwards.
