Former F1 world champion Nico Rosberg believes Kimi Raikkonen "just messed up" in his crash with Lewis Hamilton. Rosberg sides against his former team-mate as he suggests Ferrari wouldn't have any team orders.

Hamilton frustrations were in full force in his post-race interviews as the British driver insisted Ferrari had certain tactics to knock out the Mercedes drivers. He also referred to Vettel's crash with Bottas in France. The 2016 World Champion has reported that he doesn't agree.

On his own youtube channel, Rosberg said: "The answer is pretty simple. 100 per cent not on purpose."

"We also saw that in Austria because even there, Kimi is not driving for Sebastian. In Austria, Kimi was second and Sebastian third, and there was no letting Sebastian past at all. They didn't even consider that."

Hamilton has since apologised for the crash in an Instagram post. During the race, Raikkonen was given a 10-second penalty for causing the incident. He finished behind Hamilton following the dramatic closing stages of the Grand Prix.
