Earlier today Max Verstappen was called to the stewards, because he allegedly touched the car of Lewis Hamilton after qualifying. Christian Horner doesn't understand this at all, because according to him drivers do this all the time.

While Lewis Hamilton's rear wing is under investigation, Max Verstappen might also face a penalty. The Dutchman is alleged to have touched his competitor's car after qualifying, in particular the rear wing. This goes against the FIA rulebook, which states that drivers are not allowed to touch the cars during parc ferme.

Although the rule exists, it is actually never enforced, claimed Christian Horner. "As we have seen with many, many drivers they seem to have a look around what's going on with the other cars. That's all it was a bit of inquisitiveness," said the team boss on Sky Sports F1.

"We have seen drivers pulling clutch paddles, heads in cockpits, front wings tested and tyres pushed. Its nothing unusual."

An inquisitive Verstappen

Horner also thinks he knows why Verstappen was so interested in his big rival's car. "Mercedes straight-line speed is very impressive. So, I think he is maybe just having a look at that. Drivers are very inquisitive," the Brit argued.
