Tanabe: 'We can expect the very tough championship battle to continue'

The United States Grand Prix promises to be an exciting race, with both the title battle between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton and the fight in the midfield continuing. Toyoharu Tanabe is therefore looking forward to being back on the track.

With Red Bull Racing and AlphaTauri, Honda Racing's technical director has a lot to look forward to. While Red Bull Racing is battling with Mercedes for the lead, the team of Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda still has a chance to finish fifth in the constructors' championship.

Confidence with Tanabe

Tanabe has a lot of confidence in the two teams, he says in a preview on the official website of Honda. "As we come towards the end of the season, we can expect the very tough championship battle to continue. We will take it one race at a time and I expect the fight will go all the way to the last event."

"As it’s been two years since we were last here, I’m looking forward to meeting up with former colleagues once again," he continued. "Here in America, there are a lot of race fans who support Honda, particularly in IndyCar and we will be doing our best as usual in the hope of giving them a good result with both our teams."
