The drivers had to deal with heavy rainfall at the Turkish Grand Prix. It made it difficult to keep an eye on the track, especially during the first laps. Lando Norris experienced some scary moments.

The British driver achieved seventh place, but it was not easy. "The laps to the grid I basically couldn't see a thing. I was actually quite scared how bad it was," said Norris in conversation with Motorsport.com. "But I think the first lap I managed to get a gap and control it very well from then on."

Norris saw portions of the race with little to show for it, however. "On lap one, it was more like an oily water rather than just water, if that makes sense. So it became like a bit more blurry and stuff, as well as the water going into the visor," stated the talented Norris, who compares the Turkey GP to the cancelled race in Belgium. "Having spoken to a number of drivers after the race, I don't think the spray was worse than what it was in Spa. I'm quite confident of that."

Disappointing performance Ricciardo

His teammate Daniel Ricciardo did a lot less in Turkey. The Australian finished no further than thirteenth, falling outside the top ten.
