Just like last season Istanbul Park has made itself available to host Formula 1. This means that for the second year in a row a Turkish Grand Prix will take place there. Due to the difference with Istanbul the sessions will be held at slightly different times than we are used to.

The weekend will start with the first free practice which will start at 9:30. The afternoon session (FP2) will start at exactly 13:00hrs. The third and final free practice session will start one day later at 10:00 am and will end at 11:00 am. Two hours later it is time for qualifying.

Race in Turkey starts hour earlier

On Sunday 10 October the points will be distributed from 13:00hrs UK time. If Verstappen is able to compete for the top positions and finish ahead of Hamilton he will regain the lead in the World Championship. The difference is currently two points with seven Grands Prix to go this season.

Last year the Turkish GP was held in the wet. Lewis Hamilton took the win, while Verstappen finished sixth.
