Honda returned to Formula 1 in 2015. Where the partnership with McLaren proved unsuccessful, the Japanese more than made up for it at Toro Rosso and Red Bull Racing.

Press officer Yusuke Suzuki says in a blog from Honda that he remembers very well how the cooperation with Red Bull started. "Everyone was nervous for that moment," Suzuki tells us honestly. "When we started working together we were already at a level where we were not embarrassed by the material. It was a good start."

The Japanese knew full well that the attention at Red Bull would become more intense. "It's a high-profile team that always keeps the media in the Formula 1 world working, so it brought excitement with it. However, when I started working with the team, I found that the team was much bigger than Toro Rosso's PR team."

Good cooperation between Red Bull and Honda

This season, the Japanese marque managed to deliver an engine that Max Verstappen can compete with in the world championship. The Dutchman has a good chance of winning a world title for the first time in his Formula 1 career.
