The Formula 1 season is approaching its conclusion with seven races to go. Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen are still in a neck-and-neck race, so the question is which driver will have the main prize in his hands at the end of the year.

While Red Bull Racing appear to have a better car than Mercedes this season, seven-time world champion Hamilton can draw on years of experience. The British driver is doing everything he can to prevent Verstappen from making a mistake, but so far the Dutchman has been hard-pressed to find any.

Team boss Christian Horner likewise sees Hamilton trying to beat his rival in every way possible, but notes that Verstappen's greatest strength is emerging. "Lewis likes to play psychological games. He uses all the tools he has to put pressure on Max and always wants to show that he is not the favourite," Horner explained in conversation with ServusTV.

Verstappen remains relaxed

Before the Russian Grand Prix, Hamilton stated, among other things, that he understood Verstappen's nerves ahead of the title fight, after which the Dutchman waved away his rival's words. "Max doesn't care much about it. He is the most relaxed driver in the whole field and just wants to go full throttle all the time."
