The Russian Grand Prix looked like it was going to be a painful afternoon for Max Verstappen prior to the race. He had to start from the back of the grid on a track where Mercedes clearly has the fastest car. The fact that the Red Bull driver managed to finish right behind Hamilton will not go down well with the world champion.

Hamilton looked at screen immediately

At least that's what Robert Doornbos at Ziggo Sport thinks, who made an interesting observation after the flag fell. "That face of Lewis Hamilton. He crosses the start line and you see him cheering for his team, but after that I saw a very beautiful image. He kept looking to the right, because there's a really big screen there. He just wanted to know right away where Max was."

"He's looking on that screen where Max finished and then he sees P2. Surely he's sick of that. He'll think he should have made a bigger gap here. Hamilton had a great Sunday afternoon, but Max had an even better Sunday afternoon," Doornbos concluded.
