Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner is delighted with the progress of the development of their own engine plant in Milton Keynes. The project is on track and making progress every week.

Red Bull will take over the engine project from Honda in 2022, but will still be supported by the Japanese manufacturer in the first year. In the meantime, hard work is going on at the Milton Keynes campus. "The Red Bull Powertrains project is gaining speed every week," says Horner according to F1i.com.

"The construction is on track, and it's great to see it starting to take shape. It's really starting to come together now and all the effort put into it is impressive. We're attracting some great talent, and we also have a strong youth programme which is attracting a number of students and graduates," Horner concludes.

Some of the talent comes directly from the Mercedes factory, including Ben Hodgkinson and Owen Jones, both key names in the German team's engine department.
