Mercedes and Red Bull Racing collided hard at the Italian Grand Prix last weekend. The collision of Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton left both drivers unable to continue.

The battle between the two drivers has been a hot topic in recent months, but it seems to have really heated up since Monza. Max Wilson also thinks that the drivers will fight each other a lot, although he thinks that Verstappen has a small advantage for the time being.

"Especially in Monza, Mercedes showed they were more competitive and stronger, but it's difficult because I don't know how fast Red Bull could be if they had a free track," Wilson explained to Motorsport.com. "But on the other hand, Monza is an atypical circuit because everyone drives there with very little downforce and there are many straights and few corners."

Advantage at Red Bull

However, that will change after the Russia GP, he expects. "If we go back to normal circuits, I think Red Bull is still ahead of Mercedes. Whether that will remain so until the end of the year is difficult to say. But at the end of the day, everyone is working. And those who don't manage to improve, drop out. However, it is not a lack of effort or investment."
