After a spectacular race full of incidents it is time to take stock of the Constructors' Championship. Mercedes increases their lead to Red Bull and McLaren takes P3 from Ferrari.

The difference between Mercedes and Red Bull is now 18 points. The crash between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton meant that neither team earned many points today, but Sergio Perez's penalty meant that Valtteri Bottas finished ahead of Red Bull's remaining driver.

McLaren the big winner

With a double podium, McLaren picked up a lot of points this weekend. It is enough to take P3 in the championship back from Ferrari. Daniel Ricciardo seems to have found his form again after the summer break with his victory and Lando Norris provides maximum points for the team by finishing in second place.

It has been a dramatic weekend for AlphaTauri as both Yuki Tsunoda and Pierre Gasly crashed out. Zero points for the team, allowing Alpine to increase their lead to P5. George Russell picks up points for Williams again.
