Monza has been on the calendar for many years. Monza is known for its many straights and few corners. In recent years the Monza circuit has been a track where Mercedes performs well. So it will be a challenge for Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing to beat the Mercedes engine on this track and continue the good results.

Honda can prove themselves

Mercedes' longstanding dominance may well come to an end this year. The Honda engine in Max Verstappen's RB16B is performing better than expected this year. Also on circuits like Baku in Azerbaijan with long straights the Red Bull performed very well. This weekend is the opportunity for Honda to prove itself on 'The Temple of Speed'.

The first free practice session will give an immediate insight into how things will go this weekend. With a limited amount of practice time, the teams will want to find the best setup. It will certainly be a fierce battle between Mercedes and Red Bull again this weekend.
