Red Bull Racing has submitted official questions to the FIA regarding Mercedes' engine. According to the Austrians, the competitor would be acting outside of the regulations, allowing it to generate more power with its engine.

While the Formula One organisation is looking into the matter, Mattia Binotto sees a clear difference with 2019. Back then, the FIA found out Ferrari was wrong and received a lot of negativity in the media. Unjustified, according to the team boss of the Italian racing stable.

"Maybe at the time we were more blackballed by the media and our opponents were attacking us, but that's behind us now", he states to Motorsport.com. "I still think that the tone used against us in 2019 was wrong. I think it's important to stress that the same thing is happening now as it did two years ago and that this always happens in Formula One."

Binotto spoke to Red Bull

Binotto meanwhile went to talk to Christian Horner, Red Bull's team boss. "Like all teams, we try to understand what is going on and analyse what our competitors are doing. We analyse the images and look at the GPS data. We have our doubts and have discussed them with Red Bull. I have personally spoken with Horner, but we have not asked any questions to the FIA."
