Max Verstappen has won his home Grand Prix in Formula 1. The Dutchman won in Zandvoort in front of all the fans present. Peter Windsor enjoyed his performance, and never saw such a large crowd of fans as in Zandvoort.

It was all orange at the Zandvoort circuit, where everyone had only one wish: a victory for Max. That victory would come after a thrilling fight with Lewis Hamilton, which made the party in the dunes even bigger. Windsor enjoyed the scenes on and around the circuit.

Super fast Verstappen

''This was Nigel Mansell at Silverstone, Lewis Hamilton at Silverstone, Carlos Reutemann in Argentina, Clay Regazzoni in Monza, but times 20. This was Max Verstappen at home. How long have the Dutch been waiting to have not only a Grand Prix back in their country but also a Grand Prix star they can embrace? They got both. It all went according to plan today. A glorious victory for everyone involved. Even the non Red Bull fans were thinking 'yeah this ain't a bad day is it?' It's beautiful to see a driver of that quality on a circuit like doing what he did," says Peter Windsor in his video.

"Absolutely perfect start from Max Verstappen. He made such a good start, so it was an easy turn one for Verstappen. The first lap he drove was breathtaking though. This was Jim Clark at Zandvoort with such a fast start and consolidating the lead over one lap. Max was already more than a second ahead after one lap, on a very short circuit," concludes Windsor.
