A remarkable message from the FIA prior to the Dutch Grand Prix. They have sent out a message to all teams regarding the pitlane during the race. It is a very tight pitlane at Zandvoort and the cars have little space to drive from the Fast Lane to the pitbox.

"The position of the car in the pitlane during the race, may be judged as unsportsmanlike conduct if it blocks another car in the Fast Lane or blocks a car when they want to enter/exit the pit box. It will be judged as unsportsmanlike conduct by a team or a driver," reads the FIA statement.

Team bosses have some concerns

Toto Wolff told Motorsport.com Wolff that there are risks. "The pitlane, like the garages, really feels like serious racing. Of course, it's not the standard compared to a new circuit. We will have to be careful about what happens in the pitlane and the drivers know how to adapt."

Andreas Seidl, McLaren team boss, has some concerns about the safety of his team members. "It's the tightest of the whole year. in Monaco, we have sixty metres and here it's only forty metres. That's definitely a challenge," Seidl concluded.
