Prior to the official start of the race weekend at Zandvoort, title contender Lewis Hamilton has already given his opinion on the possible booing of Dutch fans in the stands. The Briton says he doesn't mind if this happens.

During the usual press conference on Thursday, Hamilton was asked what he would think of Dutch fans booing him during the weekend, as happened earlier in the season. Hamilton answered nonchalantly, stating that it is just a sign of passion: "It is part of sport. Dutch fans have a lot of passion. I will try to turn it into positivity, to Nu.nl, among others.

The driver continued, to say that he also has fans in the Netherlands, although they will certainly not be the loudest to be heard in the stands at Zandvoort. "I always enjoy coming to the Netherlands, Amsterdam is one of the best cities in the world. And I have fans in the Netherlands as well, although they will probably not be many", Hamilton said.

Not my job

Earlier Verstappen was also asked for his opinion on the possible boos from Dutch fans aimed at his competitor. Verstappen stated then that it is not his responsibility to make these people stop.
