Possibly another half a point for Verstappen? "We'll check it out"

The point for the fastest lap of the day went to Nikita Mazepin. In the two laps that took place behind the safety car, Nikita Mazepin was the fastest driver. The Haas F1 driver did so in the second lap, but because the Grand Prix was red-flagged the fastest time of the first lap should count. And that's when Max Verstappen comes into the picture.

Motorsport-Magazin.com Confronted Helmut Marko with her findings. "We will check it out, we would have liked to have scored half an extra point," said the Austrian top man.

According to the German media, there is a chance that no extra half-point will be awarded for the fastest lap this time, as the regulations require it to be a 'valid lap'.
