Haas is having one of their worst years in the history of the team. Nikita Mazepin and Mick Schumacher have been driving at the back of the grid almost every week, which has left the team without a point. Guenther Steiner however remains confident.

The Haas team boss realises how complicated it is for both drivers to make their debut in Formula One. Where many people on the outside think it's easy to drive among the big men, according to Steiner, he knows all too well what's involved.

"I knew they came well prepared from Formula 2, [but] what I realised is how big the step actually is from Formula 2 to F1," he told Autosport.com. "I would say that for everybody. And then if you go back and look at the guys who came in from F2, they all took a little bit of time to get used to it. It's not only the driving, it's the whole surrounding."

Mazepin and Schumacher do better

Steiner sees Mazepin and Schumacher improving their level quickly. "I think on the driving side, they both catch up quicker than I thought they would be. But the rest of it, it takes a bit of time to get accustomed to have so many people looking after you and doing things for you."
