The Formula 1 teams have their well deserved holiday during these weeks. Although many drivers and employees will be happy to have some rest, it is a different story for Toto Wolff.

The Mercedes team boss will have to work harder than ever this season to stay ahead of his competition. While the German team has clearly been the best in recent years, Red Bull Racing has done well this season. Wolff is eager to get started again.

He explains in conversation with Formel1.de how hard he finds it not to make contacts with his team. "Personally, I get bored after 48 hours, so I look for someone to call. And then I terrorize them a little bit on the phone," he states very honestly to the medium.

Wolff's Adventures with Lauda

In the past, Niki Lauda did the same thing to him. "On the second day of his holiday in Italy, he called me and said: 'I'm here!' I said: 'Where are you?' He: 'I'm in front of your hotel with the boat. Are you coming down for breakfast at eight?' So I said: 'You can kiss my ass. You're not going to stalk me in Italy and force me to get up and have an espresso with you.' But he stopped right there and waited for me."
