What time does qualifying start for the Hungarian GP?

This Saturday the third and final free practice and qualifying sessions are scheduled. Who will take pole position in the last race before the summer break, will it be Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton or someone else?

Red Bull versus Mercedes

Verstappen set the fastest time in the first free practice session but had to make do with third place in the second free practice session. Valtteri Bottas was the fastest man, followed by Hamilton. The Dutchman was unhappy with the balance of the car and the Red Bull Racing team has a lot of work to do.

Also surprising were the Alpine and Aston Martin teams, who both finished in the top ten in the second free practice session. So the battle in the midfield promises to be exciting too.

When does F1 qualifying start?

First up will be the final free practice session, scheduled for 11am UK time. The teams will gather the latest data and prepare for qualifying. Then comes the qualifying session at the Hungaroring. It will take place at 14:00 and will determine the starting order for Sunday's race. About one hour later we will know who will start from first place. At 13:30 our liveblog will start, keeping you up to date with all the action on track.
