It has been over a week now, but the crash between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen at the Silverstone Grand Prix is still dominating the news. With the Hungarian Grand Prix coming up, there will finally be fighting on track again this week instead of next to it.

Toto Wolff

Team boss Christian Horner at F1.com However, there is still something to say about his rival Toto Wolff. "I would like to respond to some comments I have seen from Toto, who is quoted as saying that our comments regarding Hamilton causing the accident were 'so personal'," Horner said.

Emotion at play

"I would like to make it clear. This was an on-track incident between two of the best drivers in the world. The moment you have a driver in hospital and the extent of the injuries is not yet clear, your car is written off and the stewards have penalised the driver deemed responsible, it is natural that emotion comes into play, for all concerned, whether you feel aggrieved or victorious," the Red Bull Racing team boss concluded.

In any case, the gap between Verstappen and Hamilton has been reduced to eight points, and Red Bull Racing are just four points ahead of rival Mercedes in the constructors' race. Hungary will undoubtedly add another chapter to the already legendary battle.
