This weekend Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen will meet again for the first time since the Silverstone GP. The Hungarian GP is scheduled, which will be the first time both rivals will see each other in the flesh again.

Toto Wolff spoke to the crowd ahead of the weekend Motorsport.com about the battle between the two drivers. Wolff thinks the duels are going to get spicier and crashes in the future cannot be ruled out.

"I think the intensity has increased since Silverstone. It certainly won't be the last time they fight for position and hopefully, they can do it in a sporting way. And if not, we will see more collisions and crashes. It got to the point where ceding track position was part of the pattern of the last few races. This time neither gave in and it ended in a serious collision."

Hamilton knows what he needs to do to become champion

Because, of course, Hamilton has been world champion a few times in recent years and is known to be good at avoiding problems and knows when to be aggressive and when not to be. Wolff knows that too.

"I think part of Hamilton's success is not only his racing ability but also his maturity. The long-term strategy is important to win championships because you have to score points." However, Wolff says, he no longer has to prove anything to anyone.

"I think he's way beyond proving a point. He is a 99-time race winner and seven-time world champion. There is nothing more that Lewis Hamilton has to prove to anyone." Hamilton and Wolff will be hoping to make further inroads into the battle for both championships in Hungary.
