Ferrari were close to a race win at the British Grand Prix. Charles Leclerc was leading a few laps before the end of the race but had to let Lewis Hamilton take the lead in the closing stages.

During the race weekend in England, the sprint qualification took place for the first time. The new format received a lot of positive reactions. Mattia Binotto was also enthusiastic. "We need a bit longer to digest it," he told Motorsportweek.com. "I think there are things that could certainly be improved like what could be done for Saturday morning, make it a bit more relevant."

The Ferrari team boss pointed out that it is also important what Formula One fans think of the sprint races. "I also think the numbers from the TV audience will be important. I don’t think you can have a final judgement right now, you need to wait for the two more opportunities to have a better picture."
