Max Verstappen dominated last weekend in Austria. The Dutchman was in the lead from the start, something that never changed. Lewis Hamilton had to settle for second place and 16 points (fastest lap). His gap in the battle for the championship is now 18 points.

Honda Racing F1 director Masashi Yamamoto says on the Honda website that he is very happy with the weekend and Verstappen's race. "This was a brilliant win by Max at Red Bull's home circuit, his fourth of the year and fifth for the team. It's also the tenth win for Honda with Red Bull Racing and so we can look back to this same circuit where we took the first win of our partnership two years ago."

Which is, in fact, fantastic. Besides the fact that Verstappen has now won two races in a row and is leading the championship, Red Bull has now won four races in a row. Together with Honda, they are therefore on top of the constructors' championship, 40 points ahead of Mercedes.

"The victory at the Styria GP is Honda's fourth consecutive win, something we haven't done since our "golden age" in 1991. We are still a long way from matching the results of that time, but today I feel we can take inspiration from our predecessors and work towards more results like this."

Red Bull and Honda are obviously hoping that this coming weekend in Spielberg will be another one in which they run out of points in both championships. Compared to Mercedes, the car looks to be hugely fast at the Red Bull Ring, and there will be more fans in attendance again. All the ingredients are there for Verstappen and his team to take their fifth win in a row.
