Formula 1 was treated to another phenomenal race in the 2021 season. Max Verstappen took the victory after Red Bull racing twisted their strategy and past Lewis Hamilton on the penultimate lap. Sergio Perez also had the better strategy to get past Valtteri Bottas for third. Here are the biggest news stories from the day.

Rosberg views Verstappen's overtake

If there's any former driver who knows what Hamilton is like during duels on the track, then it's Rosberg. The former teammate of Hamilton reviews the late move. "Unusual from Lewis, close the dam door! No? Usually, Lewis is the best one to one racer. I'm surprised he didn't try, at least try and brake late. A bit soft from Lewis somehow," Rosberg added. Click here to see the full story.

More prostests

There are rumours in the paddock at Paul Ricard that Red Bull Racing are considering protesting or at least asking for clarification about Mercedes' front wing. The part of the W12 seems to move and that is actually something that is not allowed.

"The FIA is working on it. There is enough visual material. We expect it to be similar to the rear wing," the Red Bull Racing advisor was referring to the introduction of additional tests. For the moving rear wing of the RB16B those stricter tests were introduced this weekend in France. Click here to read the full story.

Hamilton puts second place in perspective

Hamilton compliments Verstappen at the press conference Verstappen for his good performance. "They just had better strength all weekend and just considering that we had such a difficult Friday I’m really happy with today’s result. Of course we didn’t win and we were in the lead but I had no tyres left at the end and unfortunately lost the position." Click here for the full story.
