The French Grand Prix is back. Last season the race at the Paul Ricard circuit was one of the races in Europe that was cancelled due to the corona crisis. The GP was not really missed by most fans, but this season there might be a nice race.

Since its return to the Paul Ricard circuit, the French Grand Prix doesn't have the best reputation. The huge run offs look a bit crazy on TV and drivers mistakes are hardly punished. In addition, the races in recent years were not known for their excitement either. In fact, the 2019 race is seen as the most boring of the 21st century.

Excitement is back in Formula 1

However, all indications are that this year will be different. Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing confirmed in qualifying that they are not only dominating Mercedes on street circuits this season. The gap to Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas was still relatively small though, so we can expect a good fight. A fight in which also Sergio Perez can play a role again.

After an excursion to Baku, the F1 circus is now back in the European time zone. The entire race can be seen live on Sky Sports. Those who don't want to miss anything, will have to switch the television on at the usual time of 14:00.
