F1 LIVE | Leclerc from pole position, Hamilton P2, Verstappen P3 in Azerbaijan

After Saturday's eventful qualifying battle, with four red flags at the end and a Ferrari on pole position, it's time for the 2021 Azerbaijan Grand Prix has arrived. The two main contenders for the World Championship start in P2 [Lewis Hamilton] and P3 [Max Verstappen]. Follow all the action in our liveblog below. 

LIVEBLOG - Azerbaijan Grand Prix

After the messy qualifying session on the Baku street circuit Verstappen went back to the garage with a P3. The Dutchman knew he could get more out of the car and hopes to get it right in the race. Pace in practice provided some question marks around Hamilton, but the seven-time World Champion managed to pip his rival to P2. 

It promises to be another exciting battle between Verstappen and Hamilton, who are in direct competition for the win in the world championship. A relative advantage for Verstappen is the fact that it is easier to overtake in Baku than in Monaco.

Turn 15

It will also be interesting to see which drivers fall victim to the track's infamous 15th corner this time around. Not only Verstappen and Leclerc fell for the trap, but also Stroll, Giovinazzi, Ricciardo and Sainz slid their car into the wall here.
