Lewis Hamilton finds it difficult to indicate how good the current generation of drivers in Formula 1 is. What is certain is that he considers Max Verstappen, Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc to be among the young, strong talents.

To the question of AS Verstappen whether he is his natural successor and the next one to take the world title, Hamilton answered prior to the Monaco Grand Prix: "I don't know. There is a good group of young talent here. If he gets the chance, Lando [Norris] has huge potential for me as well, and also Charles [Leclerc]. I can't predict which of them will lead the sport."

Hamilton is also asked what he thinks of the current generation of drivers. With guys like Verstappen, Norris, Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, there are a lot of talents ready and eager to compete for the world championship as well. "I don't know if it matters much what I think, I don't know if I can judge if it's a good or a bad generation," he says.
