This is how the Constructors Championship standings changed after Monaco
For the first time in the current era, Red Bull Racing are taking the World Championship fight to Mercedes. After Max Verstappen claimed victory in Monaco, combined with Sergio Perez's P4, Red Bull leapfrog Mercedes and top the table by just one point.
Tough day for Mercedes
During the first half of the race, Valtteri Bottas ran in P2. Mercedes pitted Bottas, but the Finnish driver failed to return to the track because a tyre was stuck on the car. This compounded Mercedes' poor strategy choice for Lewis Hamilton, who lost places following the pit stops. Hamilton did get the fastest lap of the race, but it wasn't enough to keep Mercedes ahead in the Championship.

Meanwhile, Red Bull Racing took a total of 37 points in Monaco. With Charles Leclerc securing P1 on Saturday, it seemed likely that Ferrari would get the upper hand in the battle for third place. But McLaren stay ahead.
