Ocon enjoys first day of filming in A521: Watch the first images here

Esteban Ocon was in action during an Alpine film day last Wednesday and where most drivers have to share that filming day with their teammate, the Frenchman had it all to himself during the 100km at Silverstone.

On Tuesday the presentation of the new A521 took place. Ocon was proud to be in this car and called himself a proud Frenchman. This will only have increased on Wednesday, after his test at Silverstone.

Ocon also had the run of the place in the car, as Fernando Alonso remained in Switzerland due to travel restrictions. The Spaniard would have to undergo quarantine there, while he is working hard after his accident on a bike. Ocon was therefore allowed to test for Alpine and was very happy about it.

''It was really good fun today. First of all, it was nice to get in the car again at a track like Silverstone as that’s always something special. The car felt nice to drive for the first time and we managed to get through our programme as planned. There was a bit of a delay this morning with the fog, but once that cleared, the track was dry and that made the running very enjoyable," the Frenchman said in the press release.

''I wish I could drive for more than 100km, but that’s the limit, and I leave here with a smile on my face. We want to take that into Bahrain next week when conditions will be more representative with the race tyres and some heat. All in all, it was a very interesting day and I can’t wait to discover more about the car. I have to say, I love the new colours. It’s the best-looking car on the grid'', concludes the Alpine driver.
