After unveiling the RB16 last Tuesday, Red Bull Racing's crew gathered at Silverstone today for a few laps of testing. However, one of the images released by the team hints at an as-yet-unannounced sponsorship deal between the team and beer giant Heineken.

On the Twitter account of Decalspotters, which focuses primarily on sponsorship deals in the world of Formula 1, a zoomed-in image of the Red Bull garage at Silverstone was published today. What appears to be the Heineken logo is shown on the wall behind the RB15, suggesting that the brand might have secured a deal with Christian Horner and Helmut Marko's team for the coming season.

“As seen in images of Red Bull Racing's shakedown at Silverstone, the team is due to announce a new sponsorship deal with F1 global partner Heineken. The deal includes advertising both of the brand's flagship alcohol and non-alcohol drinks”, the Decalspotters caption reads. Official confirmation of the sponsorship deal is still pending, however, so whether the logo will actually appear in the Red Bull garage in 2021 is still up in the air.

Global Partner

The commitment between Heineken and Formula One is not a new one. The Dutch company has been a Global Partner of the sport since 2017. This in combination with the "If you drive, never drink" campaign, the slogans of which can be found both on and around the circuits.

UPDATE | Heineken logo also appears in Red Bull Racing newsletter

It seems only a matter of time before the sponsorship deal between Heineken and Red Bull Racing will be announced. After earlier hints about the Austrian team's film day, the Dutch beer brand's name is now also listed at the bottom of Red Bull Racing's newsletter. However, there is still no sign of an official announcement.
