Aytron Senna was thinking about quitting Formula 1

Ayrton Senna remains in the memories of many Formula 1 fans. He raced in Formula 1 164 times. Until his fatal crash during the San Marino Grand Prix in 1994. Yet a year earlier it seemed that Senna could have retired from Formula 1 .

Uncertain future

The Brazilian driver was skeptical after Honda announced its withdrawal from the sport. “When Honda pulled out, he didn't want to continue. Every driver wants a factory contract. And I think he was right,” said Whitmarsh. After the season, Senna took some time to think about his future. "I haven't signed with any team yet because I'm seriously thinking about what to do and what's best for my career ."
