Formula One will reportedly announce to teams on Thursday that Portugal will fill the gap left by the race in Hanoi. See what the complete 2021 Formula One calendar looks like now.

The Portuguese Grand Prix is the (for now) final addition to the 2021 Formula One calendar. F1 wanted to return to a 'normal season' in 2021, but that hasn't quite worked out yet. The coronavirus has still not been eradicated and that caused Australia to be rescheduled and the Chinese Grand Prix to be left off the calendar.

Back to Imola and Portimao

The start of the season was therefore changed, with a start in Bahrain and the second race not in China, but in Imola. The historic circuit thus returns to the calendar, after it was also arranged as a replacement GP in 2020. Now, however, as in the past, it is the opening of the European season.

That Grand Prix will now be followed by the Portuguese Grand Prix, which was also arranged as a replacement on the calendar in 2020. Portimao debuted as a Formula One circuit and will reportedly be the setting for the F1 race in 2021 as well. 2021 is also the year for the return of the Dutch Grand Prix and the debut of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
