Circuit Zandvoort will have another historic event on its calendar in 2021 in addition to the return of Formula 1. Registration for the FIA's historic Formula 3 European Cup is open and it has been announced that there will be racing in the Netherlands.

Formula 3 and Zandvoort are inextricably linked. In the past, the Masters of Formula 3 were often to be admired in the Dutch dunes and the official Formula 3 championship also came by several times. In 2021 a historic event will also be held at the new circuit of Zandvoort.

Formula 3 back to Zandvoort

Before the return of Formula 1, the circuit was renovated, but due to the coronavirus, the race wasn't held in 2020. That will now happen in September of 2021, but before that we will see the Formula 3 cars in action. The classic cars will be in action from 16 to 18 July.

Despite the fact that the coronavirus is still far from being eradicated, the FIA is hoping for a field of no less than 26 drivers. The entry is now open here.
